The club has been running successfully for many years at the Scarborough State School hall. Taekwon-do is a martial art suitable for all ages and Bai Rui is a very family orientated school. New students are always welcome and the first two lessons are free. Taekwon-Do has so many great benefits such as improving fitness, balance, co-ordination, confidence, focus and attention as well as developing the discipline and respect that a martial art requires. The club has two instructors, Rob Taylor (6th Dan) and his wife Jan Taylor (6th Dan) who have been part of the Bai Rui school for over 20 years. Being able to learn the Art first-hand from Senior Master Charles Birch as well as attending seminars and International Instructor courses conducted by senior ITF practitioners from Australia and overseas has enabled them to bring considerable experience and knowledge of the Art of Taekwon-do to their students. They have both trained under First Grand Master Rhee and Senior Grand Master C.E. Sereff, who were the first two Grand Masters appointed by the founder of ITF Taekwon-Do, General Choi Hong Hi. Rob Taylor was also fortunate enough to attend a seminar conducted by the founder. The Redcliffe club also has fantastic support from Assistant Instructor, Mrs Michelle Davies as well as other visiting black belts.
